Grendel’s Amends Crafting Guide

Healing spells are pretty cool, and Grendel’s Amends is one of them. Myth finally got a heal! Although many critics wish the heal was higher, it’s a spell you don’t see often, and it’s a Myth heal! Unfortunately for the less-enthused, this isn’t a super easy recipe. Here’s how to craft it!

Grendel's Amends

Requirements

This is a difficult recipe that basically requires you to have or know a wizard in Empyrea. You can start collecting reagents early but be warned, this recipe will take a minimum of multiple days.

Ingredients

• 10 Grendel’s Amends TC
• 120 Perfect Jade
• 200 Perfect Sapphire
• 60 Shell
• 50 Flying Squid Ink
• 150 Diamond
• 220 Cattail
• 25 Amber

The Easy Reagents

120 Perfect Jade and 200 Perfect Sapphire are easy, both being purchasable from Celestia to Polaris for 100 Gold each. Buying all that you need should set you back 32,000 gold.

Getting 60 Shells

Normally, there’d be a subheading here that says “The Normal Reagents.” Unfortunately, this time there’s only one. Most of the reagents are annoying to get.

This one isn’t too hard. If you use a combination of Bazaar farming and scraping around in the Portico and the Base Camp, it won’t take you too long.

The Difficult Reagents

Oh, there are a lot of these, aren’t there? These reagents are either hotly contested or slow/expensive to get, so they will take longer to obtain. Not all of these are as hard as getting the TC, but they will take some time for the unprepared.

Getting 10 Grendel’s Amends TC

You probably already know the drill.

Farm Loremaster. I can confirm that the TC drops from Loremaster. Not much else to say besides that the drop is kinda rare at the moment, but it doesn’t seem much different from the other drop rates. Check out our guide on Loremaster drops!

Ask your friends who have a Grizzleheim Lore spell trained. If they got the spell from the pack, they might have some extra TC lying around. Don’t be afraid to ask!

Grendel's Amends

Getting 50 Flying Squid Ink

This one is only hard depending on when you decide to craft this. You’ll get it from farming any Empyrea boss, so if you don’t have a high-leveled wizard, this will be an unavoidable buffer to your progress.

(Side note: if necessary, you can just ask high-levelled friends for their Flying Squid Ink. A bit janky, but it’ll work in a pinch.)

Grendel's Amends

Getting 150 Diamonds

Oof, this is going to be rough.

Pick it off the ground. There are plenty of places you can do this, but Cave of Solitude in Mooshu and The Atheneum in Dragonspyre are the common recommendations.

Grendel's Amends

Farm the Bazaar. This can be a pretty slow process, but 150 Diamonds is a lot. If you need a change of pace, this is a change of pace.

Ask your friends! They might not need diamonds anymore. Don’t be afraid to ask.

Grendel's Amends

Getting 220 Cat Tail

Get it from the Hyde Park fountain. You know this one, but technically there’s a faster route than just standing around. Start at Regent’s Square and then walk quickly to Hyde Park, it’s a bit faster. Hopefully you’ve been picking Cat Tails up as you quest, because the more you already have, the faster this step will be.

(Side note: this is far from the only good Cat Tail route. If you’re having bad luck with Hyde Park, check some other places out, Mooshu has a lot of places with the reagent.)

Grendel's Amends

Getting 25 Amber

Check out our Amber Farming Guide!

This is a lot of Amber, and it looks really intimidating, but we’ll make it approachable by splitting up the acquisition methods. Here’s what you can do:

Plant King Parsley and Ultra King Parsley. Both can drop the seeds of either type, and both drop Amber, but Ultra King Parsley can additionally drop Amber with mature harvests rather than just elder. If you don’t sell any, you’ll have gotten a few after a while, but if not, King Parsleys can be dropped from bosses from Azteca through Empyrea and Ultra King Parsleys can be dropped from all one-shot Duels and Common Empyrea farming spots like Admiral Dynt and Secret Tunnel.

(Side note: if you’re at a lower level and you choose to go this route, your best option for farming this seed is honestly from lower level one-shot gauntlets. I suggest farming Rattlebones, as he is quick to beat and drops gauntlets often. Be warned that this can take some time.)

Farm Sand Squid. If you’re able to farm this dude, do it! It’s a great way to be able to get immediate progress from doing something. I found the drop rate to be 63%, which is great, so if you can find a team to run it, try it!

(Another side note: this is probably the best option for someone who’s at a lower level. Get a high level hitter who knows what they’re doing and bring some traps to help them hit quicker. Hit me up if you can’t find anyone and I’ll try to make it work lol)

Transmute Amber. This isn’t as good of an option as it used to be, but it’s a good alternative. I didn’t look too far into it because it’s not an incredibly efficient option and requires a high-level wizard anyway, but if you really need to do this, absolutely check it out. The recipe is 5 Merle’s Whiskers, 5 Amber Dust, 15 Sunstone, and 10 Golden Pearl.

This is not an easy recipe, but it’s one you hopefully won’t regret crafting. If you’ve never crafted a spell before, this might be a good one to start with. Beginner or not, though, good luck and happy crafting!

Hey! I have a level 130 life wizard and a level 83 fire wizard. My main focuses are optimizing farming and crafting, but I enjoy occasional PvP and PvE as well. I also have an interest in graphic design with minimal resources, so I do all of my images.
