Ratatoskr’s Spin became craftable on 7/24/2020! That’s great for life wizards, but it requires so much Agave Nectar that in the past few days, the Agave market had gotten a bit scarce; Mangrove Marsh alone isn’t really enough to get what you need when you need it right now. Seeing the demand and wanting to know a solution myself, I checked out all of the areas that had Agave harvests and found some good areas that don’t get much attention.
(If you want this to work to its full potential, you’re going to need the Transmute Agave Nectar recipe. It’s sold from Popol Vuh Whitepaper in Alto Alto, Azteca after completing the quest “Bookpeople.”)
Ah, the classic Agave farming spot. Walk around the wooden pallets in the top of the map to get 2 harvests every time you switch realms! This is the most popular place to farm Agave, so it might be empty.
Pros:
- Easy to get to.
- Not much walking time; easy to learn.
Cons:
- Very busy at times.
- Not much walking time; easy to get a bit bored.
- Many places to get dragged in the area.
This was also an acknowledged farming spot for some time when Azteca was announced, but it’s since fallen out of style for being less convenient than Mangrove Marsh. Acceptable alternative for if Mangrove is empty. (1-2 harvests per realm.)
Pros:
- Less busy
- A lot of walking time; it’ll keep you busy.
Cons:
- Harder to get to.
- A lot of walking time; not much Agave for the work.
A solid upgrade from Mangrove Marsh. I’ve heard this one mentioned a couple of times, but it seems that generally this isn’t farmed as much. I would happily recommend some to ditch Mangrove in favor of this, as I think it strikes a lot of balances really nicely. (2 harvests per realm.)
Pros:
- Easy to get to.
- Good amount of walking time. (~50 seconds)
- Less busy.
Cons:
- Route isn’t very satisfying.
This is easily the best. Only problem is that you almost need to have beaten the entire game to use it, but it’s less busy than Aeriel Jungle and can spawn as many as 3 harvests per realm.
Pros:
- Easy to get to.
- Good amount of walking time. (~45 seconds)
- Not busy.
- Route is sorta satisfying.
- Three harvests per realm!
Cons:
- Hard to unlock.
This is perfect if you want Mangrove Marsh to a tee without worrying if someone’s harvested everything. Four harvest spots, two harvest spots will be active at once, all in the same place, less busy though.
Pros:
- Not much walking time; easy to learn.
- Easy to get to.
Cons:
- Not much walking time; easy
