Comprehensive Black Lotus Farming Guide

Black Lotus is a normal harvest reagent that can reportedly be found in 40 areas. Sounds like it should be cake, but with the current guides on farming it, a different picture is painted. Vestrilund is always empty and busy, MooShu is really spread out, surely someone has figured out better places to farm it! I couldn’t find that person, so I checked out a lot of the areas that have Black Lotus harvests and have compiled what I consider to be the best farming spots.

(This can obviously be turned into a Black Pearl farming guide with the aid of the Transmute Black Pearl recipe, purchasable from the MooShu and Celestia recipe vendors for 400 gold, but there are more streamlined ways to get Black Pearls specifically, so I’m not going to focus on it too much.)

Mangrove Marsh?

This is a weird start, but I wanted to put it out there because it’s honestly not an awful place to farm, people farm Agave Nectar there, but they often just stay in the Agave corner and leave all of the other reagents alone. I don’t think you should mainly farm this area, but if you’ve exhausted all of the other places, this is a good place to keep in the back pocket.

blacklotus

Pros:

  • Not super hard to get to.
  • Technically a place to farm Black Lotus.
  • Pretty involved.

Cons:

  • 2/3 harvests per realm.
  • Not fun to zombie farm.
  • Harvests are unsatisfyingly far apart.
  • A bit busy.
  • Doesn’t fill the time fully.

Austrilund

This is a good area, the route takes almost exactly a minute. Everything’s pretty solid about this route if you want to zone out. Gotta quest a little through Wintertusk to unlock it, which might be a turn-off for anyone who hasn’t invested in Wintertusk.

blacklotus

Pros:

  • 3 per realm.
  • Roughly 1 minute long. (Fills the time well.)
  • Satisfying route.
  • Not too busy.

Cons:

  • Sorta long to get to.
  • Doesn’t allow for multitasking over.

Vestrilund

The classic. It’s really easy, but it’s really busy. Not great to farm because it’s commonly empty of Black Lotus.

blacklotus

Pros:

  • 3 per realm.
  • Incredibly short and close together.

Cons:

  • Really busy.
  • Sorta long to walk to.
  • Lots of unfilled downtime.

Savannah

This is an interesting one. Four harvests per realm, but the route is a bit a long. You can chop it up a little, but it’s an interesting route.

blacklotus

Pros:

  • 4 harvests per realm.
  • Route is okay.
  • Easy to walk to.

Cons:

  • Route is weirdly spread out.
  • Takes quite a bit of time to go through.

Zamunda Outskirts

A decent place to farm, I’ve never seen anyone farm this, and maybe that’s because it’s not super easy to farm. Most of the harvest spots are pretty close to enemies, so it can be precarious if you’re not paying attention.

blacklotus

Pros:

  • 3 harvests per realm.
  • Easy to get to.
  • Comfortable

Cons:

  • Route is really spread out.
  • Can get dragged into battles.

Hey! I have a level 130 life wizard and a level 83 fire wizard. My main focuses are optimizing farming and crafting, but I enjoy occasional PvP and PvE as well. I also have an interest in graphic design with minimal resources, so I do all of my images.
